   1) Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella Unknown

Release Date: February 13, 2018

Stand Alone

About: Sylvie and Dan have been together for 10 years and have the best lives. One day at doctors visit they are told that they can live for another 68 years. Learning this they start to panic a little since 68 years together is a very long time. So they come up with a plan to keep things fresh and exciting in their marriage. They will come up with little surprises for each other so that their lives will never become boring. While doing this, things go wrong and secrets are revealed that begin to shake up their marriage in a way that they did not intend.

Thoughts: I love Sophie Kinsella’s writing and I can not wait to finally read this book. I know it’s going to be filled with laughter and surprise ( pun not intended) in true Kinsella style.  Continue reading “Anticipated 2018 Books”

Review: One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake

Hello there!

I have finally finished reading One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake! That took me over a month to read and I am not sure why because I really enjoyed it. One Dark Throne is the sequel to Three Dark Crowns, so there will be spoilers on Three Dark Crowns in case you haven’t read it yet. I have a review on Three Dark Crowns if you want a spoiler-free review of the first book.

About:

One Dark Throne starts a little bit after where we left off in Three Dark Crowns. After the crazy events that went down in Three Dark Crowns we get to see how the three Queens react to those events. Katharine somehow made it out alive out of the Breccia Domain and is more determined than ever to win the crown. Arsinoe has learned that she is not a Naturalist but a poisoner, so she needs to figure out how to take advantage of this secret. Mirabella has to try to keep the people around her from getting hurt. Review: Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

Hello there!

I am finally doing my review of Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake! I finished reading TDC right before BookTube-A-Thon stated so over two weeks ago. So here it finally is, hope you enjoy.

“Three dark queens are born in a glen, sweet little triplets will never be friends. Three dark sisters all fair to be seen, two to devour and one to be Queen.”

About:

Three Dark Crowns is about triplet sisters that all have an equal right to the throne. The only thing is that to find out who will be queen once they turn sixteen they have to fight to the death until only one queen is standing. Also, each triplet has a certain power: Katharine is a poisoner, Arsinoe is a naturalist, and Mirabella is an elemental.

June Summary and Coming Up in July

Hello there!

Today’s post is all about what I read in June and everything that I am planning on reading in July. Let’s just get right into this post.

Read in june banner

1) Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell IMG_8484

The first thing that I read in June was Once Upon a Dream. This book is part of the A Twisted Tale series where Braswell takes a Disney movie and puts a twist to it. For OUAD the twist is “what if sleeping beauty never woke up”. This book picks up right where Prince Phillip kisses Aurora and it doesn’t wake her up. I have a full review on OUAD so check that out if you want more details. Continue reading “June Summary and Coming Up in July”

BookCon Day 2: Experience and Haul

Hello there,

One week later and I am finally posting the second part to my BookCon post. This will be all about day two let’s just get into it.

Sunday june 4th    After the first day, Carleny and I realized that if we wanted to get the One Dark Throne Arc we had to get to the Javits Center earlier than we did on day one. So we agreed to meet up on Sunday at 7 am. This meant that we had to wake up at 5 am and leave by 6 am. Carleny had to leave her house around 5:45 am because she lives feather from Manhattan than I do. Early that morning I get a text from Carleny that says “I’m up, don’t make me call you!” and I responded with “I’m up!”. After such a long day on Saturday and then having to be up at 5 Am we were not in the most chipper mood to be up that early. I was on the train by a little after 6 am and I was shocked at a number of people on the train that early on a Sunday ha ha. I met up with Carleny and we were on the line at about 7:05 Am. Since we got to the Javits Center earlier on Sunday we had to line up outside since the queue hall didn’t open until 8 Am. Continue reading “BookCon Day 2: Experience and Haul”

Rapid Fire Book Tag

Hello there,

This post is going to be the Rapid Fire Book Tag. I will be answering the following questions as quickly as I can without thinking about it too much. This tag was created by Girl Reading on YouTube. Check out her original video! Now let’s get into the questions.

Side Note: If I mention a book and I have a review for that book I will link my reviews.

1)E-Book or Physical Book?

      – Physical Book: It’s just so much better to hold an actual book.

2)Paperback or Hardback?

    – For my shelves hardback. But to read I feel paperback is easier to read/ travel with. Continue reading “Rapid Fire Book Tag”
