Review: Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella

Hello there!

This post is going to be on my spoiler-free thoughts of Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella. Now, all of you should know that Sophie Kinsella is my favorite author. SO, when she comes out with a new book I buy it ASAP. I love Kinsella’s writing and I always have a good time reading her books. When I heard about Suprise Me I was super excited to read it.

About: 

Sylvie and Dan have been together for 10 years and have the best lives. One day at doctors visit they are told that they can live for another 68 years. Learning this they start to panic a little since 68 years together is a very long time. So they come up with a plan to keep things fresh and exciting in their marriage. They will come up with little surprises for each other so that their lives will never become boring. Review: Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Hello there!

I have finished my first book of 2018 and that book is Renegades by Marissa Meyer. If you do not know Meyer is the author of the New York Times bestselling series The Lunar Chronicles as well as the standalone novel Heartless. In both The Lunar Chronicles and Heartless these were retellings, Renegades is Meyer’s first book that is her own story. In the city of Gatlot, they have superheroes named the Renegades and villains named the Anarchists.  Years before the start of this novel the Anarchists were the ones ruling the city, that is until prodigy vigilantes started fighting crime and took down the Anarchists. Review: One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake

Hello there!

         I have finally finished reading One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake! That took me over a month to read and I am not sure why because I really enjoyed it. One Dark Throne is the sequel to Three Dark Crowns, so there will be spoilers on Three Dark Crowns in case you haven’t read it yet. I have a review on Three Dark Crowns if you want a spoiler-free review of the first book.

About:

One Dark Throne starts a little bit after where we left off in Three Dark Crowns. After the crazy events that went down in Three Dark Crowns we get to see how the three Queens react to those events. Katharine somehow made it out alive out of the Breccia Domain and is more determined than ever to win the crown. Arsinoe has learned that she is not a Naturalist but a poisoner, so she needs to figure out how to take advantage of this secret. Mirabella has to try to keep the people around her from getting hurt. Review: Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber

Hello there!

So December 2016 I picked up Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber. I was so excited to read a Christmas book. I got to page ten and gave up on the book because the main character annoyed me. Now December 2017 Zoe from readbyzoe hosts a 24 hour Holiday readathon and I took this opportunity to give Twelve Days of Christmas a second chance. This is the story of Julia a bubbly personality and her neighbor Cain who is the complete opposite of Julia. Cain is not talkative and a bit rude to Julia. Review: A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck

Hello there!

    First, off I want to apologize for not sticking to my regular posting schedule. Which if you did not know its suppose to be Wednesdays. That being said I going to try and get back to posting regularly. Now on to why you are here my review of A Short History of the Girl Next Door (ASHOTGND) by Jared Reck. I was lucky enough to get an ARC in my First in Line box at BookCon this year. You guys I am so glad that this was the book in my box because I loved this book so much.This is the debut novel for Jared Reck and I will start off by saying that Reck did an amazing job on his first book. What is ASHOTGND about? Well, this is the story of a teenage boy named Matthew aka Matt on his life starting high school and his feelings for his best friend aka the girl next door.
