Here is my wrap-up for the last three months. I have been grouping my Wrap-Ups and TBRs into three-month chunks this year. Well, this is going to be the last time because starting in July I will go back to posting these monthly! YAY! Now that, that is said let’s talk about books.
1. As Old as Time by Liz Braswell
This is the third book in the A Twisted Tale series and this focuses on Beauty and the Beast where the twist is “What if Belle’s mother cursed the Beast?”. I was so excited to read this book because BATB (1991) is my favorite movie and I was curious to see how I would like this retelling. I did enjoy myself reading myself but I did not love it as much as I thought I would. If you want to read more about my thoughts check out my review! Continue reading “April,May, June Summary”→
This is going to be a fun and simple post. I had a few holds at the Libary and I picked them up a few days ago so I will share with you what those books are.
1. Reflection: A Twisted Tale by Elizabeth Lim
This is the fourth book in the Twisted Tales series that follows the story of Mulan. In this story, Mulan has to travel to the underworld to save Shang after he gets injured. Oh, and Mulan is still undercover as Ping!
I love reading these twisted tales books and I can’t wait to get to this one.
In today’s post, I will be telling you guys the books that I read in February and March. Let’s just get into it, hope you enjoy.
1) Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao
This is an East-Asian reimagining of the Evil Queen story from Snow White. I thought this was such an originally retelling and I am so excited for the second book called Kingdom of the Blazing Pheniox. I don’t know how I feel about the cover change though.
About a week ago I read Volume 1 of Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer. I had a few feelings about the book so I thought I should make a blog post about it. This review will have spoilers on both The Lunar Chronicles and Wires and Nerve. That said if you haven’t read either come back and read this post once you do. Now on to the review!
This is going to be a short one. I am here to let you guys know that on Saturday, March 3rd Zoe from ReadbyZoe is hosting another 24 Hour Read-A-Thon. If you remember back in December Zoe hosted a Holiday edition of this read-a-thon which I participated in. So, I am so excited that Zoe is doing another read-a-thon. My plan is to read the library books that I currently have out which are: The Bad Seed by William March, and Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer.
Since today is Valentines Day I thought it would be fun to tell you guys my favorite relationships in books. Let’s just get right into the list which is in no particular order. Also, this post will contain spoilers so read on with caution.
1. Rebecca Brandon (Nee Bloomwood) and Luke Brandon
Book: Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella
Reason: I just love their relationship. They have their ups and downs but they are always there for each other when it matters. Also, Luke is able to put up with Becky who is a handful because she is so ridiculous but that is why he loves her and all the readers as well. It is never boring when Becky is around. One more thing Luke is husband goals.Continue reading “My Favorite Relationships in Books”→
I have finished my first book of 2018 and that book is Renegades by Marissa Meyer. If you do not know Meyer is the author of the New York Times bestselling series The Lunar Chronicles as well as the standalone novel Heartless. In both The Lunar Chronicles and Heartless these were retellings, Renegades is Meyer’s first book that is her own story. If you want to know more about what Renegades is about and my thoughts on it keep on reading. This review is spoiler free so proceed without worry.
In the city of Gatlot, they have superheroes named the Renegades and villains named the Anarchists. Years before the start of this novel the Anarchists were the ones ruling the city, that is until prodigy vigilantes started fighting crime and took down the Anarchists. Now the Renegades are the ones ruling and keeping order in the city. This story follows Nova an Anarchists that is on a mission for vengeance because the Renegades let her down many years ago. When things start to look like things may be going her way she meets Adrian a Renegade boy and that is when things start to get complicated. Continue reading “Review: Renegades by Marissa Meyer”→

You know those books that sounds like they will be amazing and you get so excited to read it. Then you read it and it was nothing that you expected and not in a good way. Now let’s just get on to the list.
Here is my January TBR! Hope you enjoy it, it is short and sweet.
1) Renegades by Marissa Meyer
About: The Renegades are a group of superheroes who have taken down the villains. The Renegades are a symbol of hope and courage and the villains are not about it. This story is the story of Nova who hates the Renegades is on a mission for vengeance. That is until she meets a Renegade boy named Adrian and that is when things get complicated I am guessing.
