In this post, I am just going to let you guys know a bit of the struggle I have been having with my reading lately. I hope you enjoy.
I will start off by saying that I am currently in the middle of reading three books. Yes, three books. These books are As Old as Time by Liz Braswell, Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings, and lastly What the Valley Knows by Heather Christie. Now the struggle is different with each book. For What the Valley Knows it is taking me a while to Continue reading “The Struggle of being a reader”
This is going to be a quick post about my thoughts on the A Wrinkle in Time book and movie. I would do a list of all the similarities and difference but then we will be here forever. So, I will just tell you how I felt about both the book and the movie. Now, let’s get started.
First, off like any book being made into a movie, there were many changes. I feel that the changes that were made were fine. I think that the movie still delivered the message that the book originally gave in a cool way. The movie had all the main components that were Continue reading “Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time”
In today’s post I will be telling you what I have planned to read in February and March. I have decided to start doing my TBR’s every three months instead of monthly. That way it allows me to have a longer amount of time to read the books that I set out to read. Since I thought about this after I had already done my January TBR this month it will just be February and March. My next TBR will be in April for April, May and June. The next July for July, August and September. Lastly, October for October, November and December. I really hope that this schedule works out better. Now on to the books.
1. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao
- I started this book the end of January so I will continue on into February.

This post is going to be on books published by Disney Press that I would like to read at some point. I am a big Disney fan so getting to read books based off of the movies I grew up with it is fun. Especially when I get to see a different side of the story I already know. So, keep on reading if you want to know what those books are.
1) Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book by Jennifer Donnelly

Finally, the last review of the The Isle of the Lost books. I know this is really late but better late than never right? Well, I say we just get into this review. This will be spoiler free so do not fear and read on.
I am going to start off by talking about what I liked about the book. One of the things that I liked is the fact that things are explained. I liked that they explained where Harry Hook and Gil came from. In the first two books we know that Captain Hook has a daughter named Harriet and Gaston has twin sons named Gaston and Gaston. So when I heard about Harry son of Captain Hook and Gil son of Gaston I thought they were just going to pretend that Harriet and the Gaston twins were never a thing. But it is explained that Harriet and Harry are siblings and the Gaston twins and Gil are brothers as well. You may say well duh obviously they are siblings. But Harry and Gil are not mentioned in the first two books they just pop up in the third book. That is what made me think that they were going to pretend that Harriet and the Gaston twins weren’t a thing. Make sense? I hope it does. I just want to start off by saying that this review will be spoiler free unlike my The Isle of the Lost review. This review is on the second book called Return to the Isle of the Lost. In this book, we pick up some time after the events of the first Descendants movie. Our four now reformed villains have gotten threatening messages to return to the Isle, they have to get to the bottom of this mystery and find out who is sending these messages. The other problem involves Ben who is now King, who has to help Camelot to find out what monster has been terrorizing them. Hello, my evil friends,
Here it finally is my review for the first book in the Descendants series The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz. The first part of this review is going to be spoiler free then I will go into spoilers. Do not worry I will let you know when that is about to happen. Now on to the review.
Some of you might be asking what is The Isle of the Lost about. Well, In this world there are two places one is Auradon where all the heroes of all the Disney movies live. The other place is the Isle of the Lost where you guessed it, all the Disney villains live. On the Isle of the Lost, all the villains and their children live under a dome that keeps them trapped on the Isle. With this dome, it keeps the villains in so they are unable to harm the heroes. This story is about Mal daughter of Maleficent, Evie daughter of the Evil Queen, Jay the son of Jafar, and Carlos the son of Curella De Vil. These four villain kids set off on a mission to retrieve Maleficent’s Dragan’s eye. They all have their own reasons for taking on this mission but will they be able to accomplish their goals? Welcome to another post in my Oh My Fairytales series! This post is on the book Ounce Upon a Dream: A Twisted Tale by Liz Braswell. This is the second book in the A Twisted Tale series where Braswell takes a Disney movie and twists the stories by changing one important factor. In Once Upon a Dream Braswell twists the story of Sleeping Beauty, the twist is “what if the sleeping beauty never woke up?”. The first book in the series is A Whole New World which I have a review of so you can check that out! Now let’s get into the review. Continue reading “Oh my Fairytales: Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell – Review”
In this post, I will be discussing all the books I read in February and everything I plan to read in March. I think I had a decent reading month in February. So I am excited to share with you all, all my thoughts. Now on to the books!
1) Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
I started Cruel Beauty in January and was able to finish it in February. This book was okay. There were a lot of times while reading, that I really did not know what was happening. If certain things were explained more I feel that this book would have been a four or five-star book. Continue reading “February Summary and Coming up in March”
On January 30th, 2017 the latest trailer for the Beaty and the Beast live-action movie dropped. Wow, this newest trailer has gotten me even more excited for the movie to be released on March 17th. I talk in detail about the trailer so if you want to watch it first then come back and read the review here is the link –> BATB Trailer
I really like how just from the trailer you can see that they are keeping a lot of the scenes that are in the animated film. For example: when Belle is fighting the wolfs with the stick, when Chip blows bubbles in the tea, and when Beast and Belle sip from the bowls. As well as keeping a lot of the scenes from the animated film they have added a lot of new as well. I really liked how they explain to Belle about the curse. In the animated film all she knows is that the castle is enchanted, Belle does not know all the details about the curse. They also explain how Belle got the Continue reading “Beauty and the Beast Trailer Review”
