So December 2016 I picked up Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber. I was so excited to read a Christmas book. I got to page ten and gave up on the book because the main character annoyed me. Now December 2017 Zoe from readbyzoe hosts a 24 hour Holiday readathon and I took this opportunity to give Twelve Days of Christmas a second chance. Now, you may be asking yourself what is Twelve Days of Christmas is about. Keep on reading an I will fill you in.
This is the story of Julia a bubbly personality and her neighbor Cain who is the complete opposite of Julia. Cain is not talkative and a bit rude to Julia. As well as that she decides to blog about her Kill them with Kindness project for the twelve days leading up to Christmas. Continue reading “Review: Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber”

I am finally doing my review of Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake! I finished reading TDC right before BookTube-A-Thon stated so over two weeks ago. So here it finally is, hope you enjoy.
“Three dark queens are born in a glen, sweet little triplets will never be friends. Three dark sisters all fair to be seen, two to devour and one to be Queen.”
Three Dark Crowns is about triplet sisters that all have an equal right to the throne. The only thing is that to find out who will be queen once they turn sixteen they have to fight to the death until only one queen is standing. Also, each triplet has a certain power: Katharine is a poisoner, Arsinoe is a naturalist, and Mirabella is an elemental.
Finally! After months and months of waiting, I was able to read the second book in the Ruined series Avenged! I’ll let you guys know from now that the second book did not disappoint, this was a great continuation. First things first if you have not read either books stop right there and check out my spoiler-free review of Ruined. This review will have some spoilers of Ruined since this is a sequel. Now let’s get into the actual review!
Guys! I absolutely loved this second book, Avenged. I thought it was a great continuation and I loved seeing all the characters development. In Ruined Emelina’s main goal is to save her sister Olivia from the Lera kingdom who kidnapped her. By the end of book one Em accomplishes her goal and saves her sister. Em’s plan had worked exactly how she planned it, except for one thing. Em never planned on developing feelings for the Lera Prince, Casimir. Continue reading “Review: Avenged by Amy Tintera”

Today I will be telling you all about my thoughts on the short story Something Old, Something New from the book Stars Above by: Marissa Meyer. This is a collection of short stories set in the Lunar Chronicles world. Some stories are related to the characters that are in the Lunar Chronicles others are just set in the same world. I only read the story Something Old, Something New before I had to return the book back to the library. In this story we get to see where all our favorite characters are after the events of Winter the forth book in the Lunar Chronicles.
I really did enjoy this story because I really wanted to know how all the characters were. Also I knew there was going to be a wedding and I had to know who got married. I have to say I was a little disappointed on the couple that did get married, mainly because they weren’t my favorite couple. I did love the interactions between all the characters and finding out what they had been up to.
That is the end of non spoilers so if you have not read Something Old, Something New stop here! Otherwise continue reading for my spoiler review.
