Book Monologue #8: Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer

Hello there!

About a week ago I read Volume 1 of Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer.  I had a few feelings about the book so I thought I should make a blog post about it. This review will have spoilers on both The Lunar Chronicles and Wires and Nerve. That said if you haven’t read either come back and read this post once you do. Now on to the review!

I will start off by saying that I had so much fun being with these characters again. The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite book series so being able to read this and see where these characters have been since the events of Winter as well as before the events of Stars AboveContinue reading “Book Monologue #8: Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer”

Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time

Hello there!

This is going to be a quick post about my thoughts on the A Wrinkle in Time book and movie. I would do a list of all the similarities and difference but then we will be here forever. So, I will just tell you how I felt about both the book and the movie. Now, let’s get started.

First, off like any book being made into a movie, there were many changes. I feel that the changes that were made were fine. I think that the movie still delivered the message that the book originally gave in a cool way. The movie had all the main components that were Continue reading “Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time”

Read-A-Thon by Zoe Results

Hello there!

This past Saturday, March 3rd Zoe from ReadbyZoe on YouTube hosted her fifth 24-hour read-a-thon. In this post, I will let you guys know my experience participating in Zoe’s read-a-thon. Hope you enjoy.

Saturday, March 3rd, 12:00 AM

It hits midnight and I am so excited to start reading. This time around Zoe didn’t set a theme for the read-a-thon so I made up my own theme. Which was to read the library books I currently have out. The first book I picked up was The Bad Seed by William March. Like I have said before I learned about this book from Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Episode 18 The Badass Seed. On PLL they are putting on the play of The Bad Seed, the plot of it sounded so interesting I decided to read the book. Continue reading “Read-A-Thon by Zoe Results”

Hello there!

Since today is Valentines Day I thought it would be fun to tell you guys my favorite relationships in books. Let’s just get right into the list which is in no particular order.  Also, this post will contain spoilers so read on with caution.

    1. Rebecca Brandon (Nee Bloomwood) and Luke Brandon

Book: Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella

Reason: I just love their relationship. They have their ups and downs but they are always there for each other when it matters. Also, Luke is able to put up with Becky who is a handful because she is so ridiculous but that is why he loves her and all the readers as well. It is never boring when Becky is around. One more thing Luke is husband goals. Continue reading “My Favorite Relationships in Books”

Review: Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Hello there!

I have finished my first book of 2018 and that book is Renegades by Marissa Meyer. If you do not know Meyer is the author of the New York Times bestselling series The Lunar Chronicles as well as the standalone novel Heartless. In both The Lunar Chronicles and Heartless these were retellings, Renegades is Meyer’s first book that is her own story. If you want to know more about what Renegades is about and my thoughts on it keep on reading. This review is spoiler free so proceed without worry.

About:

In the city of Gatlot, they have superheroes named the Renegades and villains named the Anarchists.  Years before the start of this novel the Anarchists were the ones ruling the city, that is until prodigy vigilantes started fighting crime and took down the Anarchists. Now the Renegades are the ones ruling and keeping order in the city. This story follows Nova an Anarchists that is on a mission for vengeance because the Renegades let her down many years ago. When things start to look like things may be going her way she meets Adrian a Renegade boy and that is when things start to get complicated. Continue reading “Review: Renegades by Marissa Meyer”
