This post is going to be on all the books I read in July! Which most of the books were read during BookTube-A-Thon. My August TBR will be in a separate post so that this one won’t be extremely long. Now let’s get into the books.
Before BookTube-A-Thon I was able to read one book which was Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I did enjoy this book the ending completely took me by surprise. I will be discussing TDC in more detail in my review which will be coming soon. Continue reading “July and BookTube-A-Thon Summary”
Finally! After months and months of waiting, I was able to read the second book in the Ruined series Avenged! I’ll let you guys know from now that the second book did not disappoint, this was a great continuation. First things first if you have not read either books stop right there and check out my spoiler-free review of Ruined. This review will have some spoilers of Ruined since this is a sequel. Now let’s get into the actual review!
Guys! I absolutely loved this second book, Avenged. I thought it was a great continuation and I loved seeing all the characters development. In Ruined Emelina’s main goal is to save her sister Olivia from the Lera kingdom who kidnapped her. By the end of book one Em accomplishes her goal and saves her sister. Em’s plan had worked exactly how she planned it, except for one thing. Em never planned on developing feelings for the Lera Prince, Casimir. Continue reading “Review: Avenged by Amy Tintera”

One week later and I am finally posting the second part to my BookCon post. This will be all about day two let’s just get into it.
After the first day, Carleny and I realized that if we wanted to get the One Dark Throne Arc we had to get to the Javits Center earlier than we did on day one. So we agreed to meet up on Sunday at 7 am. This meant that we had to wake up at 5 am and leave by 6 am. Carleny had to leave her house around 5:45 am because she lives feather from Manhattan than I do. Early that morning I get a text from Carleny that says “I’m up, don’t make me call you!” and I responded with “I’m up!”. After such a long day on Saturday and then having to be up at 5 Am we were not in the most chipper mood to be up that early. I was on the train by a little after 6 am and I was shocked at a number of people on the train that early on a Sunday ha ha. I met up with Carleny and we were on the line at about 7:05 Am. Since we got to the Javits Center earlier on Sunday we had to line up outside since the queue hall didn’t open until 8 Am. Continue reading “BookCon Day 2: Experience and Haul”
So, about a week or so ago I was watching a reality show and thought, “ This would be an interesting book, I would read it.” Then my wheels starting turning and I started to come up with ideas for the plot of the book. Now I am not going to tell you what the show is because it might give things away. I typed out a plot of what I wanted the story to be. I had some of my friends read the plot and they both thought it sounded interesting. Let me tell you I made sure they weren’t just saying that because they are my friends. They encouraged me to try and write this book. So that is exactly what I am going to do. Continue reading “Writing a Book?”
I can not believe that April has ended and we are already in May! This year is going by so fast. Sadly, I did not read much in April and I am planning on having a small TBR for May. Let’s just get into my April Wrap-up, hope you enjoy.
Guys, I finally did it! I have started to read the Harry Potter Series for the first time. It was a long time coming and I am so glad I finally decided to pick this up. In April I read the first book in the series Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I enjoyed the book so much I am starting to understand why this series is so beloved by the book community. To be honest I was a little afraid that I wasn’t going to like it because I attempted to read the first book when I was in the 6th grade back in 2001 and I didn’t finish it. It just hit me that I first tried to read Harry Potter four years after it’s released and this year will mark the 20th anniversary of its release. I can not believe it took me so long. But in my defense, I wasn’t much of a reader when I was a kid. Continue reading “April Summary and Coming Up in May”

This post is going to be all about what I read in March and what I plan on reading in April. Sadly I did not read much in March so because of that my April TBR is going to be on the small side just so I don’t feel overwhelmed and feel like I need to rush to finish all the books before the month is up. Okay, let’s just get into the books.

I do not know what changes were made for the finished copy. Hunted is out now so you can pick up a finished copy today. Hope you enjoy! Continue reading “Review: Hunted by Meagan Spooner”
First off, I know this review is super late. This should have been posted the end of January but stuff happened and today is the day that I was finally able to get this up. Today’s post is on my thoughts on Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge. Let me start off by saying that I was really excited to read this book and I had been wanting to read this for a year or two. I am so glad that I was finally able to give Cruel Beauty a read.
Cruel Beauty is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, that is the main reason I wanted to read this book. Nyx our main character has been betrothed to the evil ruler of her kingdom since birth. This is all due to the fact that her father struck a deal with the Gentle Lord. The price of that deal was one of his daughters. This story is about Nyx and what happens when she comes face to face with the husband she is supposed to kill. Continue reading “Review: Cruel Beauty by: Rosamund Hodge”
