This is an East-Asian reimagining of the Evil Queen story from Snow White.  I thought this was such an originally retelling and I am so excited for the second book called Kingdom of the Blazing Pheniox. I don’t know how I feel about the cover change though.

2) A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle

I wanted to read this book because I am a big Disney fan so I had to watch the movie. I had never read the book as a child so I decided to read it before watching the movie. I have to say that I went in with high expectations for the book and it did not match my expectations. If you want to know more you can check out my review.

This book follows Iko from The Lunar Chronicles which is one of my favorite book series. I loved this graphic novel it was so much fun jumping into this world again.

4) Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella

This is the story about a married couple who have been told that they will live very long lives learning this they freak out so they decided to do surprises for each other to keep the marriage interesting, but it doesn’t go according to plan.  I will save that I did not like this book as much as other Sophie Kinsella books. Kinsella is my favorite author and this book missed the mark with me.

Review: Surprise Me

That’s it all the books I started and finished February and March. Let me know what you guys read. Also, let me know if you have read any of the books mentioned in this post.

Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time

Hello there!

This is going to be a quick post about my thoughts on the A Wrinkle in Time book and movie. I would do a list of all the similarities and difference but then we will be here forever. So, I will just tell you how I felt about both the book and the movie. Now, let’s get started.

First, off like any book being made into a movie, there were many changes. I feel that the changes that were made were fine. I think that the movie still delivered the message that the book originally gave in a cool way. The movie had all the main components that were Continue reading “Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time”

The first book I picked up was The Bad Seed by William March. Like I have said before I learned about this book from Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Episode 18 The Badass Seed. On PLL they are putting on the play of The Bad Seed, the plot of it sounded so interesting I decided to read the book. Continue reading “Read-A-Thon by Zoe Results”
