I am so excited to get to this book, it is a young adult contemporary about a girl who moves to a new town and gets involved with the popular football player. One night she and her boyfriend get into a car accident and she ends up forgetting something important. I do not know much about it but it has great reviews so I am looking forward to reading it.

February and March Summary

Hello there!

In today’s post, I will be telling you guys the books that I read in February and March. Let’s just get into it, hope you enjoy.

1)  Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao

This is an East-Asian reimagining of the Evil Queen story from Snow White.  I thought this was such an originally retelling and I am so excited for the second book called Kingdom of the Blazing Pheniox. I don’t know how I feel about the cover change though.

Review:  Forest of a Thousand Lanterns

2) A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle

I wanted to read this book because I am a big Disney fan so I had to watch the movie. I had never read the book as a child so I decided to read it before watching the movie. I have to say that I went in with high expectations for the book and it did not match my expectations. If you want to know more you can check out my review.

3) Wires and Nerve Vol. 1 by Marissa Meyer

This book follows Iko from The Lunar Chronicles which is one of my favorite book series. I loved this graphic novel it was so much fun jumping into this world again.

Review: Wires and Nerve ( cation: had spoilers )

4) Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella

IMG_0597

This is the story about a married couple who have been told that they will live very long lives learning this they freak out so they decided to do surprises for each other to keep the marriage interesting, but it doesn’t go according to plan.  I will save that I did not like this book as much as other Sophie Kinsella books. Kinsella is my favorite author and this book missed the mark with me.

Review: Surprise Me

That’s it all the books I started and finished February and March. Let me know what you guys read. Also, let me know if you have read any of the books mentioned in this post.

Until next time book nerds,

Coming Up in February and March!

Hello there!

In today’s post I will be telling you what I have planned to read in February and March. I have decided to start doing my TBR’s every three months instead of monthly. That way it allows me to have a longer amount of time to read the books that I set out to read. Since I thought about this after I had already done my January TBR this month it will just be February and March. My next TBR will be in April for April, May and June. The next July for July, August and September. Lastly, October for October, November and December. I really hope that this schedule works out better. Now on to the books.

Coming Up in October: Descendants Month

Hello there!

This post is going to be on what I am planning on reading this October. So most people go towards scary books this month because you know Halloween. I wanted to do something like that but what I chose is not scary but Evil if you will. What I am going to read this month is the book series by Melissa de la Cruz that goes along with the Descendants movies. The Books are: Continue reading “Coming Up in October: Descendants Month”

Coming up in September

Hello there!

Can you guys believe that it is already September! Which I do not mind because I love Fall, I actually do not like the summer, really don’t like the heat. This post is going to be on everything I plan to read this September. Now let’s get into the post.

IMG_9234   Let me start off by saying that I started a few books in August and finished none. My reading momentum went downhill after BookTube-A-Thon but I plan on changing that this September.

The first book I plan to read I have already started and that is Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder which I am loving so far. I have been meaning to read this book for a while now and I just got it from the library and I can not wait to see how things play out. I have to thank Sasha (abookutopia) for bringing this book to my attention. I do not remember which video though. Continue reading “Coming up in September”

June Summary and Coming Up in July

Hello there!

Today’s post is all about what I read in June and everything that I am planning on reading in July. Let’s just get right into this post.

Read in june banner

1) Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell IMG_8484

The first thing that I read in June was Once Upon a Dream. This book is part of the A Twisted Tale series where Braswell takes a Disney movie and puts a twist to it. For OUAD the twist is “what if sleeping beauty never woke up”. This book picks up right where Prince Phillip kisses Aurora and it doesn’t wake her up. I have a full review on OUAD so check that out if you want more details. Continue reading “June Summary and Coming Up in July”

April Summary and Coming Up in May

Hello there,

I can not believe that April has ended and we are already in May! This year is going by so fast. Sadly, I did not read much in April and I am planning on having a small TBR for May. Let’s just get into my April Wrap-up, hope you enjoy.

April WU

Unknown-2 Guys, I finally did it! I have started to read the Harry Potter Series for the first time. It was a long time coming and I am so glad I finally decided to pick this up. In April I read the first book in the series Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I enjoyed the book so much I am starting to understand why this series is so beloved by the book community. To be honest I was a little afraid that I wasn’t going to like it because I attempted to read the first book when I was in the 6th grade back in 2001 and I didn’t finish it. It just hit me that I first tried to read Harry Potter four years after it’s released and this year will mark the 20th anniversary of its release. I can not believe it took me so long. But in my defense, I wasn’t much of a reader when I was a kid. Continue reading “April Summary and Coming Up in May”
