It has been a while since I have done a TBR but I am here I am attempting a new TBR pile that I hope I get to this month. Some are new releases so I am really excited to get to them.
1 Ash Princess (Ash Princess Trilogy #1) by Laura Sebastian
This is my current read and I am enjoying it so far. This book is a fantasy about a Princess named Theodosia whos county was taken over when she was six and for the past 10 years she has been held prisoner by the people who took over her country and killed her mother. Now she has to find the courage and strength to take back what is hers and put an end to the Kaiser.
2. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
This will be a re-read for me. Since the movie is coming out soon I wanted to re-read it so I can have it fresh in my mind when I go see the movie. The Sun is Also a Star is about a girl named Natasha who is about to be deported to Jamaica a country that she does not remember and she is doing everything she can to stay in the one home she remembers. There is also Daniel who is on his way to a college interview he doesn’t want to go to just to please his parents. By chance Natasha and Daniel meet the day she is to be deported and for the next 12 hours they go around NYC Daniel trying to prove that he can make Natasha fall in love with him and Natasha trying to prove the opposite. There is so much more to this book and it is truly amazing. I will link my review so you can get a better idea of it. Also so you can read all the thoughts I had on it when I first read it.
3. Again, but Better by Christine Riccio (aka polandbananasbooks)
This is the debut novel of booktuber polandbananasbooks. This story is about a girl named Shane who is Pre-med in college, has gotten great grades but the thing is that she hasn’t made any friends and she goes home every weekend. So she decides to shake things up to try college Again, but Better by studying abroad. This is a story about self discovery and second chances. I have been following Christine’s journey in writing this book since the beginning January 2016. I have kept up with all her writing update videos so it is so cool to see her journey from first draft to publication.
4. Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte
I have been so excited to read this book. The main thing I know about this book is that there are four dead queens and the story follows two characters trying to figure out what happened. I will leave a link to the description to this book because I honestly don’t remember the full synopsis but I am still super excited to read it.
This is a short story collection that takes place in the Red Queen world. I am so excited to to be in this world again and see what certain characters have been up to. My plan for this book is to be reading it throughout the entire month while I am reading other books on my TBR.
That is it all the books I hope to read this month. Let me know what you are reading in May also fingers crossed I will be able to get to all of these.
Until next time book nerds,
