Book vs. Movie: A Wrinkle in Time

Hello there!

This is going to be a quick post about my thoughts on the A Wrinkle in Time book and movie. I would do a list of all the similarities and difference but then we will be here forever. So, I will just tell you how I felt about both the book and the movie. Now, let’s get started.

First, off like any book being made into a movie, there were many changes. I feel that the changes that were made were fine. I think that the movie still delivered the message that the book originally gave in a cool way. The movie had all the main components that were IMG_0733important in the book and I think Disney and everyone that worked on it from the screenwriters Jennifer Lee and Jeff Stockwell to Director Ava DuVernay did a great job at bringing this story to life.

I will tell you that I read the book about a week ago and I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. I had the same experience with the movie. It is a great story just didn’t wow me like I thought it would. High expectations may be the culprit.

Now, you may ask which is better the book or the movie? Well, I will have to say in my opinion that the movie is better. GASP!

I know, I usually do tend to prefer the book over the movie but not in this case. Don’t get me wrong the book is still really good. I just liked the movie a bit more.

One other thing I have to mention is the music in this film was amazing Ramin Djawadi did such an amazing job with the music in A Wrinkle in Time.

That is all I am going to say on here. Be on the lookout for my video on this topic with my friend Carleny. Where we will go into more detail on our thoughts on both the movie and the book. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on the movie. Have you seen it yet? Or are you planning on seeing it soon? Or are you skipping it all together? I will love to know.

Until next time book nerds,
