Yesterday, December 9th 2017 I participated in the 24 hour readathon hosted by ReadbyZoe on YouTube. This post I will let you guys know how it went. Now let’s get into it.
I stated the readathon at 1:30 AM by reading One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake. I started ODT in November and I was halfway into the book. The goal was to get a good a good amount of it read because I have been reading ODT for far too long. So I read from 1:30 Am until 5 Am. I ended up reading about 70ish pages which was a really good dent. At 5 AM I decided to go to sleep because I was really tired.
I ended up waking up around 12:30 PM, but didn’t get to reading until about 1:30 Pm. Since this is a Holiday readathon I wanted to read a Christmas book also it was snowing in NYC so I how can I not. So I picked up Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber. Then I read for a few hours and took breaks when needed. I ended up finishing Twelve Days of Christmas at 10:30 PM. I am honestly so surprised that I was able to read the entire book. It was a little under 300 pages but I am a slow reader so this is a win for me. I have to say that I really enjoyed the book . It was a nice quick read and I am glad I gave this book a second chance. I started this book last Christmas last year but put it down after 10 pages because I found the main character Julia really annoying. This time I still found her annoying but I was able to look past it and really enjoyed the book overall. I will be posting a formal review on Wednesday so be on the lookout for that. I will go into more detail about my thoughts on Twelve Days of Christmas.
That was all the reading that I got done but I am really happy with what I was able to read. I also filmed my experience and that should be up some time tomorrow so look forward to that. That will go up on my collab channel Tangled Up in Books. Let me know if you participated in the readathon and what you read. Also if you vlogged the day please link your video in the comments.
Until next time book nerds,
