May Summary and Coming up in June

Hello there!

Today’s post will be on what I read in May as well as what books I bought. Then I will discuss what I have planned for June. Let me start off by saying that May did not go as planned I did not read as much as I wanted to. Hopefully June will be a better month! Now let’s get into it!

What I read in May

Sadly the only thing I read in May was Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard, and I did not even finish it. I am now 50% into the book so hopefully I will finish it by the end of this week.

I may not have read many books in May, but I bought a few new books so that’s a plus!

  •  Percy Jackson and the Olympians series: The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan. I have been wanting to  read this series for a while now. I keep hearing great things about them so I can not wait to finally get into it. IMG_5592
  • A Court of Mist and Fury by: Sarah J. Maas – The second book in the A Court of Thrones and Roses series. I really enjoyed ACOTAR and after that ending I am excited to see what happens next.

For my Oh My Fairy Tales posts:

  • Peter Pan by: J.M Barrie
  • Pinocchio by: Carlo Collodi
  • Andersen’s Fairy Tales by: Hans Christian Anderson  – this book has The Snow Queen included which I have been meaning to read.

I have not read much books that have been turned into Disney movies so I am excited to get to these.

Books of Wonder Author Event:

On May 25th I went to the Books of Wonder Fantastic Teen Reads night, which included authors Roshani Chokshi, Sarah McCarry, Marie Rutkoski, and Renee Ahdieh. They answered some questions and then signed books! They were all extremely nice and I can not wait to start reading their books. I only got one book at this event which was…

  • The Star-Touched Queen by: Roshani Chokshi- This book is about a girl named Maya who is cursed. Her horoscope “promises a marriage of death and destruction”. Her father arranges her to marry in an other kingdom and that is when the trouble begins. This is another book that I am excited to read I have heard so many good things about The Star-Touched Queen so I am hoping I love it as much as everyone else.
